Mural Takes Shape
A large mural in the Building 21 Allentown Cafeteria/Meeting Center is taking shape. As part of our Art Pathways, students have been working with Baum School of Art teacher Sean Delonas to create a mural depicting the school. Across the top of the mural are the words “Passion – Power – Agency” which is representative of the character of the school. The center will feature an artistic rendition of the school’s mascot, the phoenix.

Secretary of Education Visits
On April 18, Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera spent part of his time in the Lehigh Valley visiting Building 21 Allentown High School. Secretary Rivera enjoyed time meeting with students, faculty, administrators, and Board Members at the end of the school day. In interviews with local media, he stated how impressed he was with Building 21 Allentown and everyone he met at the school. Secretary Rivera is a proponent of project-based learning which is the basis of the Building 21 concept.
